OVERVIEW OF THE CHANGES IN THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS IN THE
ABOMA/SEIU LOCAL 1 DOORMEN COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT

 

 

ABOMA and SEIU LOCAL 1 have agreed to the following changes for a new three year Collective Bargaining Agreement which is effective December 1, 2009. This agreement covers only ABOMA Member Buildings (employers) who have authorized ABOMA to include them into the negotiations and the resulting labor agreement. Contract language is under draft and when complete the labor agreement will be reproduced and distributed to all ABOMA Members.

 

 Article XXII-Duration: Three-year (3) contract commencing December 1, 2009 and expiring November 30, 2012

 

Article XVII Grievance and Arbitration language to mirror Janitor's contract

 

Add COPE contribution language to mirror Janitor’s contract.

 

Add language that requires unused sick days to be paid for upon the employees retirement and application for pension.

 

Wages:

 

Effective 12/1/2009         No Increase in hourly wages – hourly rate remains at $14.65

 

Effective 12/1/2010         Increase of .25 cents per hour  – new hourly rate will be $ 14.90

 

Effective 12/1/2011         Increase of .25 cents per hour  – new hourly rate will be $ 15.15

 

Health and Welfare:

 

Effective 12/1/2009         No increase in contribution  - Contribution rate remains at $2.28 per hour

 

Effective 12/1/2010         $ .05/hr increase in contribution  - New Contribution rate $2.33 per hour

 

Effective 12/1/2011         $ .10/hr increase in contribution  - New Contribution rate $2.43 per hour

 

 

Pension:  No Increase in contribution rate for duration of contract. Contribution rate remains at .65 cents per hour.

                Surcharges as mandated by the fund and approved by the Federal Government do apply.
